Introducing.... ROOM RX!

Introducing.... ROOM RX!

Hi friends! I’ve decided to take a limited number of entries for my new blog feature, Room Rx! Room Rx is all about being STUCK and needing help. We’ve all been here. You have your living room set up. Maybe it’s fine. Maybe you hate it! Maybe you like it but there’s something just …. weird or off that you can’t put your finger on. You know it needs improvement, but what?

This is what I am here for (and everyone else following along! I welcome comments to contribute also - you never know what is actually going to help the most!).

We are all here to prescribe the best fix for your room. You give me a workable budget, I help you out with practical suggestions. Sound good?

The point of this is just for everyone to find help in the small amounts they need it. Sometimes it’s just not worth it to hire a full on designer because your bedroom feels weird and you don’t want to change a lot. You know? But where do you turn? Pinterest is downright DEPRESSING because everything on there is perfect, and there’s nothing that can articulate why that room is bomb and why mine sucks so bad. I know my friend Jenny Komenda talked about this a lot recently and I super related - but we get requests in our DMs often and most of the time I just don’t have the time to respond to each person, when a lot of the issues might be similar and I’m having to repeat myself, and I have 3 kids, I run a business, and I also like down time a lot (weird right?). So this feels like kind of a fun solution for those of you in this predicament!

Would you like to submit your weird room to Room Rx? Do it! Email me (sarah AT parohome.com) with the subject ROOM RX. Include a few photos of your space from different angles (phone photos are fine), your budget for changes, a little bit about you / your family, what the space is used for, what you are hoping it ends up feeling like, what you want to keep, what you want to get rid of - basically any info you think is pertinent to the scope of the space. It can be anything from just needing small changes to having a budget for new furniture. Please indicate if you’re an owner or renter (and if you’re a renter, what your constraints might be). I won’t be able to feature EVERYBODY! But I’ll do my best to help however I can!
