I am SO EXCITED to show you guys this photoshoot that has been in the works for several weeks now!
So meet Jesse + Julia. Jesse is a walking music library and he works at one of the coolest places in Nashville, United Record Pressing (the largest record manufacturer in the nation). Julia is a saucy minx (see below). United Record Pressing actually proved to be the perfect location for this shoot, because they have a totally preserved upstairs apartment from the 1960's!! We walked in, and just DIED of how amazing the apartment was. Back in the sixties, segregation was still very much an issue here in the deep south, and as URP's main clientelle was the Motown folk, they had to have an apartment for their clients to stay when they were in Nashville, since the hotels wouldn't accomodate them. The result is this beautiful space - complete with a bedroom, a kitchen, and a swank lounge area with a bar! If you live in Nashville or ever come to Nashville - you have to take a tour of URP. Absolutely have to!
Immediately we walked into the lounge, took in all its colorful, mid-century modern furnishings, old magazines, record players, and small bar, and Jesse put on a Marvin Gaye record. Perfect.
And Jesse even put together a playlist for this shoot - it's worth the listen while you scroll through these images!
